A cylindrical specimen is exposed to furnace temperatures exceeding 700°C to assess characteristics including temperature rise, sustained flaming and mass loss. Results are used to support classification for Euroclasses A1 and A2.
A test to determine the gross heat of combustion (PCS) of a product by measuring the amount of heat released during complete combustion in a bomb calorimeter. Results are used to support classification for Euroclasses A1 and A2.
Evaluates the reaction-to-fire performance of specimens exposed to a simulated developing fire scenario, measuring factors such as heat release, flame spread, smoke production and flaming droplets. Results are used to support classification for Euroclasses A2 – D.
Assesses the ignitibility of specimens when exposed to direct flame impingement for a set period of time, measuring factors including flaming droplets and flame spread. Results are used to support classification for Euroclasses B – E.
